Fun, fantasy and freedom, the three key words by which the Belgian design studio describes itself. The family business Hoet, run by father Patrick and daughter Bieke Hoet, has been an established name in the eyewear sector for generations. Hoet’s glasses and mirrors are known as very original eye-catchers with a large portion of fun.
At Decovry, we love products that fall outside the ordinary. That’s why we’re happy to present the mirror collection of the Belgian design studio Hoet to our community. D is for Design.
Hoet’s mirror collection originated as a way for opticians to present their collections in a personal way, but the mirrors are just as much an original object to decorate a contemporary boudoir table or a bathroom. “The Margriet was designed more than twenty years ago”, says Bieke Hoet. “This was followed by numerous accessories.”
“”Together with my two sisters, I’m the sixth generation in the optics sector,” says Bieke. “The Hoet story started in 1884 with Germain Hoet who founded an optician’s shop in Roeselare. Driven by stylistic knowledge and professional honour he inspired his descendants to follow in his footsteps.”
