How To

Project Balcony: how to decorate your small city balcony

Love your small city balcony as much as Romeo & Juliet do? But not really sure how to get the most out of your outdoor interior? Thou shall not worry! Decovry is more than happy to help you decorate your own little happy place.

Size matters

When it comes to balcony furniture, it really does. Space is limited and you can’t have it all. Choose wisely and only get one or two bigger pieces. Go for statement furniture, because they immediately add the right amount of flair to your balcony. Think: rocking chair, comfortable lounge seating or a compact dining table.

Loads of fluff!

You can’t go overboard on furniture, so cosy it up by using loads of (fluffy) accessories such as plaids and cushions. On the plus side, when nights turn colder (because unfortunately they do, even in summer) you have the right stuff to keep your balcony guests and yourself warm.

Come on baby, light my fire

Oh, those summer nights. You’re practically living outside all day and night. No need to go back inside when the sun goes down. With the right outdoor lighting and candles, the fun never ends.

Pamper your feet

It may seem like an odd choice, but pamper your balcony and feet with a bold carpet. Stripes, flowers or rotan: you can’t go wrong. Carpets add a cosy and warm touch to your outdoor interior and they are the perfect way to cover up cold balcony tiles or cracked wood. Because we all want to walk around barefoot during summer, right?

Off you go now, lots of work to do. But first take a look here.
